We are serious at New Hope about sharing our walk with Christ together. Since it is God who adds people to His churches, we're not worried about growing larger. That's going to happen, because it's God's will to see His church grow. But one way we can work to make sure that the people of New Hope stay unified as a Body is to agree on what it is we believe. There are many churches in our area. All are unique. We cannot guess what a person believes when they come to New Hope. So we require a class for prospective members, regardless of whether they are Christ-followers or not. As part of the process for becoming a member, a person must complete the New Hope 101 seminar, sign the membership covenant, and give their testimony of salvation either to a staff member or the church as a whole in worship.
