What Is New Hope?

A group of people on a journey together.
Not one of us is perfect, but we're coming together to experience God and love others. Yeah, that's a picture of our church building, but it isn't a picture of our church. It's a special place because of the people who gather there.

A casual atmosphere - wear your jeans or whatever. Really. Some come with ties on, most leave them in the closet. Whatever helps you focus on God. We're conversational. We laugh. We've celebrate each other's successes and help each other when we fall. It's like home.

Enthusiastic worship that'll move your soul toward God.. All designed to get the congregation initmately involved. Don't put us in a box, either. We'll do whatever helps us worship.

A warm family feeling.We're a church that looks like the neighborhood, with people of all ages and backgrounds. We have one thing in common - a love for what God has done in our lives and a joy in coming together to share His love.

I'm trying to ease into this whole Florida thing.

I'm David Wilson, Lead Pastor of New Hope.

I'm here to help people start their journey with God. Maybe you're like me and want to ease into it. No problem with that here. Come on in and grab a chair. Bring your mind and a sense of humor though. We value both a lot.

One of the tools God uses best is community - living with other people. New Hope is a great place for that, since there's not thousands of us here. We like small. We're like a family gathering each week, and the love for one another doesn't stop on Sunday. We root for our kids at band concerts, sporting events, spelling bees - whatever. We gather around each other to share the joys of life and lessen the sorrows.

Our hope is that when people come to New Hope, they'll find a place where they can learn about how to begin or grow a relationship with God. We're not here to point out what's wrong, but to point to Jesus. If you're looking for a hill to fight on, just head on down the street. But if you are looking for a place to find Jesus at work in the lives of people - well, I might be a bit biased, but I think this is a pretty special place.

Our small groups are designed to take a person from wherever they are right now to a point further down the road of faith. In our worship gatherings you'll hear our children and youth lead worship. We focus on congregational praise, not performance. I try to bring practical and inspiring messages from the Bible. We use a version of that great book that's easy to understand, and I'm serious about speaking truth into life.

So come and see what God is doing in the lives of the people of New Hope!
